We are surrounded by acres of marshland, perfect for exploration on foot or by bike and we can recommend some particularly scenic routes. Local beaches are a short drive away, including the historic Pendine Sands where Malcolm Campbell set world land speed records in his famous Blue Bird cars in the 1920's. The beautiful National Botanic Garden of Wales is just a few miles from nearby Carmarthen and Britain’s newest race course, Ffos Las at Trimsarin is a fifteen minute drive from the hotel.
We are also able to organise a host of activities for guests, from sea-fishing with a local expert to golfing, (from between 45 minutes to one hour by car), horse-racing and cycling. We are also happy to arrange family activities from trips to the Steam Rail Museum in nearby Carmarthen to personal horse-riding lessons with a local equestrian school. Try land yachting at Morfa Bay or simply stroll along the breathtaking three-river estuary near Laugharne Castle or Llansteffan. The nearby township of Laugharne is home to an annual literary and music festival and makes a perfect starting point for exploring West Wales.
